🔒 Privacy
Short version: we count which games and pages people use so we know what to make next. We don’t know who you are, and we don’t want to.
Google Analytics (only if you say yes)
If you click Accept cookies, the site loads Google Analytics. It counts page views and clicks like “played Rasta Crosser” or “pressed play on a track”. Ads features and Google signals are switched off. If you click No thanks, Google Analytics never loads. You can change your mind any time from Cookie settings in the Start menu or the footer.
Votes, suggestions and feedback
When you vote, suggest a game or send feedback, we store what you typed, the game it’s about and the time. To stop spam we also keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address, which can’t be turned back into the real one. Your email is only stored if you type it in, and only used to tell you about that game (for example, a Steam release).
The hit counter
The visitor counter is real. To count each visitor once a day, your browser sends its random anonymous ID (plus the scrambled internet address, to stop people spamming it). We only keep that for the current day; after that, all that’s left is the total.
Stuff kept on your computer
Your browser remembers a few things locally: your cookie choice, CRT mode, whether you dismissed Floppy, and a random anonymous ID so you can’t vote twice. None of that leaves your computer except the anonymous ID, when you vote and for the hit counter.
